History
Chair Point Lookout was built in 1931 – a 65′ pole L-6 cabin.
In 1953 a 41′ TT L-4 cab was built.
1956-78 – Staffed by Norm Clark for 22 years (*Fire Lookouts of the Northwest)
In 1980 a 41′ TT Flat cab was built.
Chair Point lookout is staffed every fire season.
The tower and cabin were wrapped in protective foil in 2015 due to the advancing Teepee Springs fire. The fire luckily did not reach the tower.


2009 – Added to The National Historic Lookout Register
