History
1910 – Indian Mountain was first used as a camp.
1922 – Log cupola cabin was built.
1933 – Current 2 story R1/L4 structure with a 14’x14′ cab and catwalk built. The only lookout of its type constructed on the Payette National Forest.
1998 – Added to the National Historic Lookout Register
Current – the tower is staffed for fire detection.
