History
1928: 60′ crows nest
1940s: Abandoned
Our Notes
We knew, according to Ray Kresek’s book LOOKOUTS OF THE NORTHWEST, that this crows nest still was there as of 2015. We set out to find it and see what is left today.
The road to this spot ends about a 1/4 mile before the crows nest location. We found the tree without too much difficulty thanks to the telephone wire that was staked into the trunk and still very much intact today.
Other than the telephone wire and the stakes in the trunk for the ladder – nothing remains.
