1931: Crow’s Nest
Our Notes
From where we parked the car it was a leisurely climb up the hill to the west, but there is absolutely nothing there. The hilltop is entirely devoid of trees, and it appears to have been for some time. Any crow’s nest is long gone. Pretty views though.
There were more trees on the hilltop to the east, so we didn’t think that was the location we climbed up there too. Most of the trees were too young, and nothing could be found.
After we left and were driving back down the forest service road, we did see some trees and posts set off the road, that had #9 wire on them and / or old insulator loops. A reminder to keep your eyes out when driving through the forest.
