OUR NOTES
Capitol Hill is an easy drive up thats pretty close to our homes – and it tends to be a frequent stop for others as well. We encountered a fair bit of people on the roads leading up to this spot – other outdoorsy people just wanting to be enjoying the forest like we do – well, maybe not exactly like we do.
We were quickly able to find the footings for this lookout tower as well as two benchmarks. However nothing else appears to remain at this site, even the view is gone now that all the surrounding trees have had time to grow well up and around where the tower once sat.
