1924 – USFS report shows two men posted at this point (Forest Lookouts)
1932 – Last year of use (Forest Lookouts)
“From the lightning storm last Saturday night a bolt hit the Two Point Peak lookout, melting the alidade and breaking the glass of the firefinder into small bits. The post upon which this was setting was also shattered into fine splinters. Norman Howell, the lookout on this point, was a few yards away in his tent keeping out of the rain. He says this is about as close as he cares to be to a bolt of lightning.” (Record-Herald)
