Notes from NHLR
Chicken Peak is a cultural treasure needing care. It is the only known remaining example of this style of pre-CCC log and timber cab and the oldest lookout on the forest. The 14′ x 14′ R4-D8 cab with steep pyramid roof and no catwalk was built in 1930 and staffed until 1969.
