History

1914 – Log Cabin and Platform Tower
1919 – Two-Story Log Structure
1929 – 20×20 Log Lookout Built by the CCC
1982 – Current concrete and wood flat top tower constructed
2020 – Registered with National Historic Lookout Register

This lookout is staffed every fire season by the Southern Idaho Timber Protective Association.

Known Staff

1956 – 1962 – Mr. & Mrs. Roger Taylor & were famous for having a piano in their lookout (*Idaho Statesman)
