History
1931 – 30′ Pole L-4 tower
1935 – Garage added
1953 – 53′ Treated timber tower with L-4 cab
1983 – Added to the Recreational Rental program
While the tower is no longer on the Recreational Rental program due to safety concerns it was one of the first towers added to the program. The tower is currently on standy status.
Fun side note: The site was originally known as “Wet Ass” but when the Forest Service prepared maps, they deemed that name inappropriate to put in print, so it was cleaned up to Weitas.
