1937 – L-4 Tower
1953 – Destroyed
OUR NOTES
This was a quick and short hike up from the road to what we THOUGHT was a camp. Imagine our surprise when we discovered the footings. We were pretty stoked. We strutting around a little, thinking we’d found an unknown tower. Yay us!
And then we got back to the car and realized we’d read the wrong line in the inventory. Yep, we’re idiots.

We found all four cement footings as well as the corner tie downs.

What might have been railings were found as well. They were in very poor shape so its only a guess what they originally were.

Two benchmarks were spotted as well. However, they are dated 1956. According to the inventory history this tower was destroyed in 1953 – its not unheard of that they would have been placed on old cement but just seems odd to us. We’ll continue to research.
