1970’s – Move to Emergency Status
1985 – Saved from demolition
1989 – Restored
2016 – Added to the National Historic Lookout Register
In 1985, the lookout was to be burned. A former lookout from 1961 contacted the USFS, and in 1989 he restored the lookout, including repairing floors, doors, shutters, catwalk, and steps.
