OUR NOTES
The Wigwams – as Squawman is now named – has been on our list FOR YEARS! We have seen others posting some of the most incredible view shots from this spot and we knew we had to make a trip here! We finally made it happen in 2026, as soon as the snow was receded enough to make it up the trail.
And can we just saw – WOW!
This spot is pretty damn incredible. What views!
The 360 views here of the Selkirks – looking into Washington, Canada and Montana – are absolutely awe inspiring!
1934 was written in this cement footing when the tower was built. Looks like there was additional letters in the cement that are impossible to read now.

Overall this was an easy hike up to one of the absolute BEST views we’ve ever seen. Although pretty much any view in the Selkirks is beyond incredible. Thankfully we ran into a group of people in the saddle that told us the REAL view was “over here” and led us to this spot. JUST WOW!
