History

1936 – Wild Horse Lookout was built – L-4 Ground cab.
1946 – Tower was abandoned.
1970s – Cabin rehabbed as an outfitter’s cabin.
2016 – Added to the National Historic Lookout Register

Today, the cabin stands in fair decent shape, offering those lucky enough to visit some outstanding views and a safe shelter.
