Our Notes
I’ve been to the site of Bloom Peak Lookout twice, and I’ve been struck speechless both times – the views here are stunning. Imagine the lookout here, and this was your daily view. Pretty spectacular.
The lookout itself is long gone, but you can tell where the tower once stood above a rock foundation.
Others obviously agree with us on the views here – we found three monuments to those that have passed on, and we imagine Bloom Peak was a special place for them and is now a beautiful place for loved ones to come back for a visit.
A friend and I hoofed down to 93-mi. lake from Bloom saddle one hot summer day in the 80’s; had a quick swim in the shallow lake and regretted the whole thing after huffing and puffing back to the bikes on top.
